Yes, when you arrive for your piercing appointment, you'll need to have a valid, up-to-date ID (state ID, driver's license, passport, birth certificate for minors, school ID/yearbook photo where applicable) and a form of payment (cash, card, tap-to-pay).

We'll need all of this documentation before we can begin your piercing appointment.

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. If you do arrive early, we ask that you limit your arrival to the Salt Lake City studio to 5–10 minutes before your piercing appointment.

You can expect a 1-2 piercing appointment to take about 30 minutes. Add an extra 15 minutes for each additional piercing after that.

Our priority is ensuring precision, doing an anatomical assessment, and finding the right jewelry fit for you. Our Salt Lake City piercing staff aim to be as thorough as possible, and this ensures that your ear or body piercing is done safely and correctly.

When you arrive at the IRIS Studios Salt Lake City piercing shop, you'll receive a warm greeting from our team and we'll verify all your details and documentation.

Our SLC piercers will do an anatomy assessment to ensure that the body or ear piercing you've selected works for you, we'll have you sign a consent form, and you'll choose your jewelry from our curated collection of implant-grade titanium and solid gold options.

Your piercer will them do the cleaning, marking, and piercing in a private room. They'll go over all relevant aftercare info with you as well before you head out.

Note: At IRIS SLC, we use single-use, sterile equipment and maintain strict safety standards to provide one of the most trusted body and ear piercing experiences in Salt Lake City.

Our schedule for all of our studios open up two weeks in advance. The availability you see in our calendar below reflects the openings we have each day at the Salt Lake City piercing shop. Any reservations or cancelations populate in the schedule in real time.

Our Salt Lake City piercing shop does accept walk-in appointments, but we prefer you schedule in advance (either online or by phone) to ensure you get the time you prefer and have a minimal wait time when getting your ear or body piercing done.

• Age 18+: Absolutely yes. We will be unable to pierce you if you do not bring a valid government issued picture ID. Please bring one.
• MINORS: Birth Certificate and ID requirements are listed in your appointment type when booking.

• Yes, a credit card is required when you book to reserve your piercing appointment. We don't charge this card for the appointment. It's placed on file in case of "no-call, no shows." 
• If you don't show up to your piercing appointment and fail to let us know you're unable to make it, a $20 "no-show" fee may be charged to the card we have on file.
• Card info must be entered in order to reserve your piercing appointment.

When you book your ear or body piercing at our Salt Lake City studio, this includes the fee for the piercing service, along with implant-grade titanium jewelry. If you opt for jewelry that contains gemstones or gold, that comes at an additional cost.

Please schedule appointments back to back to ensure that there is enough time reserved to help each person. An appointment is needed for each person wanting to be pierced. If appointments are booked at the same time, we may need to split the group to ensure enough time to complete the services within the time alloted.

Our piercing team will do their best to accommodate you, but our books do fill up, and this isn't always possible.

If you end up being more than 10 minutes late to your piercing appointment at our Salt Lake City shop we might not have the time we need to complete your requested ear or body piercing.

We'll have to mark your appointment as a “no show” if we don’t hear from you and the card we have on file will be charged a $20 no-show fee.

You'll want to make sure you're booking at the correct time for your ear or body piercing appointment at our Salt Lake City shop. The time zones shown on the site are based on your existing time zone, not the Mountain Time zone in SLC.

Yes, you can bring your kiddos to the Salt Lake City piercing shop. We just ask that you only bring kids that won't require your constant supervision during the appointment, as our piercers will need your undivided attention during the piercing process.
