When you come to your piercing appointment at our Boulder studio, please bring a valid, up-to-date ID (state ID, driver's license, passport, birth certificate for minors, school ID/yearbook photo where applicable) and your preferred form of payment (cash, card, tap-to-pay).

All required documentation must be present before your piercing appointment begins.

There is streetside parking along Pearl Street, as well as on the surrounding side streets. Note: some parking along Pearl Street is paid, and free parking on side roads may have time limits (depending on the day and time).

Depending on the day you’ve scheduled your piercing at our shop, Pearl Street can get quite crowded, so we recommend arriving with enough time to find parking and get to the studio.

You can arrive at your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive early, please limit arrival to 5–10 minutes prior. This helps us maintain our piercing appointment schedule and ensure each client at our Boulder shop receives our full attention for their body or ear piercing experience.

Most 1-2 piercing appointments take approximately 30 minutes. Additional piercings are typically added in 15-minute increments.

We prioritize precision, anatomy assessment, and proper jewelry fit when piercing our clients, and we don't believe in rushing the process. Our professional piercers at our Boulder shop prioritize taking the proper amount of time for your ear piercing or body piercing to ensure safety and accuracy.

When you arrive at IRIS Boulder, our team will greet you and confirm your piercing appointment and any required documentation. One of our experienced piercers will then evaluate your anatomy to ensure the best placement for the piercing or piercings you’ve selected.

Next, you'll browse our carefully selected range of implant-grade titanium and solid gold jewelry, and take a moment to fill out the necessary consent forms.

Your piercer will walk you through each step of the process—cleaning, marking, and piercing—in the comfort of a private room, and will make sure you leave with a thorough understanding of how to care for your new piercing.

Please note: All equipment used is single-use and fully sterilized. We hold ourselves to the highest safety standards, making IRIS one of the most trusted piercing destinations in Boulder for body and ear piercings.

Our Boulder, CO piercing shop schedule opens up two weeks in advance. The availability you see in our calendar below reflects the openings we have each day. Cancellations and reservations will show up in real time.

While walk-in appointments are accepted, we highly recommend scheduling your appointment (either online or by phone). This helps secure your preferred time for your face, body, or ear piercing at our Boulder, Colorado studio.

• Age 18+: Absolutely yes. We will be unable to pierce you if you do not bring a valid government issued picture ID. Please bring one.
• MINORS: Birth Certificate and ID requirements are listed in your appointment type when booking.

• A Credit Card is required at the time of booking to reserve your appointment. This card does not get charged for the appointment, but is placed on file in case of "no-call, no shows." 
• If you do not come to your appointment and fail to let us know you won't make it, a $20 "no-show" fee may be charged to your card.
• Card information must be entered to reserve the appointment. 

The pricing on our Boulder booking calendar includes the service fee and plain implant grade titanium jewelry. Jewelry with gemstones and gold will result in a price increase.

• Please schedule appointments back to back to ensure that there is enough time reserved to help each person. An appointment is needed for each person wanting to be pierced. If appointments are booked at the exact same time, we may need to split the group to ensure enough time to complete the services within the time alloted.

• We will do our best to accommodate you, but given that our books do fill up we do have a policy of arriving too late.
• If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment at our Boulder, Colorado piercing shop we may not have enough time to successfully accomplish the piercing service. Your appointment will be marked as a “no show” if we don’t hear from you and your card on file will be charged a $20 no-show fee.

Yes, kids are welcome at our Boulder, CO piercing studio! That said, please only bring kiddos who don't need to be directly supervised during your appointment, as our piercers need your full attention during the process.
