When you come to your piercing appointment, please bring a valid, up-to-date ID (state ID, driver's license, passport, birth certificate for minors, school ID/yearbook photo where applicable) and your preferred form of payment (cash, card, tap-to-pay).

All required documentation must be present before your piercing appointment begins.

IRIS Studios Grand Rapids does not have dedicated parking, but convenient options are nearby in Eastown:

- Street parking around the studio
- The Ethel Lot behind our building
- The Eastown Hub Lot across the street

Parking is free on weekends and federal holidays. On weekdays, it's $1.75/hour until 7:00 PM.

When planning for your piercing appointment at our Grand Rapids studio, we recommend allowing a few extra minutes to find parking during peak hours.

You can arrive at your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive early, please limit arrival to 5–10 minutes prior. This helps us maintain our piercing appointment schedule and ensure each client at our Grand Rapids studio receives our full attention for their body or ear piercing experience.

Most 1–2 piercing appointments take approximately 30 minutes. Additional piercings are typically added in 15-minute increments.

We prioritize precision, anatomy assessment, and proper jewelry fit when piercing our clients, and we don't believe in rushing the process. Our professional piercers at our Grand Rapids studio take the time to ensure your ear piercing or body piercing is done safely and correctly.

Upon arriving at our IRIS Grand Rapids piercing studio, you'll receive a warm welcome from our team. We'll verify your appointment details and documentation, and you'll receive an anatomy assessment from one of our professional piercers.

From there, you'll select from our curated collection of implant-grade titanium and solid gold body jewelry. You'll also complete all consent forms.

Your piercer will then guide you through cleaning, marking, and piercing in a private room. They'll also go over any aftercare instructions you need to be aware of before your check out.

Note: We use single-use, sterile equipment and maintain strict safety standards to provide one of the most trusted body and ear piercing experiences in Grand Rapids.

• Our piercing schedule at the Grand Rapids, MI studio opens up two weeks in advance. The availability you see in our calendar below reflects the openings we have each day. Cancellations and reservations will show up in real time.

• Appointments are strongly preferred over walk-ins to ensure availability and minimal wait time. We recommend booking online (phone scheduling is also available) to secure your preferred time for your face, body, or ear piercing at our Grand Rapids location.

• Age 18+: Absolutely yes. We will be unable to pierce you if you do not bring a valid government issued picture ID. Please bring one.
• MINORS: Due to recent changes in law in Michigan, a picture ID is required for a minor to receive a piercing at our Grand Rapids studio, regardless of age. Birth Certificate requirements still apply. Please see your appointment type information when booking to confirm requirements.

• A Credit Card is required at the time of booking to reserve your piercing appointment. This card does not get charged for the appointment, but is placed on file in case of "no-call, no shows." 
• If you do not come to your piercing appointment and fail to let us know you won't make it, a $20 "no-show" fee may be charged to your card.
• Card information must be entered to reserve the appointment. 

The pricing on our booking calendar includes the service fee and plain implant grade titanium jewelry. Jewelry with gemstones and gold will increase your price.

• Please schedule appointments back to back to ensure that there is enough time reserved to help each person. An appointment is needed for each person wanting to be pierced. If appointments are booked at the same time, we may need to split the group to ensure enough time to complete the services within the time allotted.

• We will do our best to accommodate you, but given that our books do fill up we do have a policy of arriving too late.
• If you are more than 10 minutes late to your piercing appointment at our Grand Rapids studio we may not have enough time to successfully accomplish the piercing service. Your appointment will be marked as a “no show” if we don’t hear from you and your card on file will be charged a $20 no-show fee.

• Be sure you are booking in the correct time zone when choosing your piercing appointment time at our Grand Rapids location. Times shown are in the time zone you are currently in, not the time zone of the Grand Rapids piercing studio.

• Yes, children are welcome at our Grand Rapids piercing studio! However, please avoid bringing young kiddos who cannot be supervised during your appointment, as our piercers need your full attention during the process.
