Healing Your Septum Piercing

Septum piercings heal faster than many cartilage piercings, but they still need proper care and patience.

Healing Time – Usually 2–4 months for most people.
Normal Healing Signs –
- Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness in the first week.
- A little clear or whitish discharge that may dry into crust—totally normal.
- Sensitivity to touch for the first few weeks.

Aftercare Essentials

Clean Twice Daily – Use a sterile saline solution. Mist then let air dry.
Hands Off – Don’t flip, twist, or touch your jewelry.
Avoid Trauma – Be mindful when blowing your nose or adjusting your ring. Please do not touch.
Skip Submerging – Avoid pools, hot tubs, and lakes until fully healed.
