Proper aftercare ensures a smooth and comfortable healing process. Keep your new piercing clean, dry, and protected to help your body heal naturally and safely.
Daily Care
- Clean twice a day: Use a sterile saline spray or solution. Spray and let air-dry—no need to twist or move the jewelry.
- Hands off: Avoid touching or rotating your jewelry unless you’ve washed your hands thoroughly.
- Avoid trauma: Be mindful of clothing, towels, or bedding that might snag or rub against your piercing.
- No submersion: Avoid pools, lakes, hot tubs, and baths until your piercing is fully healed.
Healing Timeline
Body piercings typically take 3–12 months to heal completely, depending on the location and your individual healing process. Even after it looks healed, deeper tissue may still be delicate—always check with your piercer before changing jewelry.
